Early 1954 LEICA Leitz Wetzlar Elmar f=9cm 14 M mount Collapsible Camera Lens

You are looking at a very early model of the M-mount collapsible 9cm f4 Elmar. These were made from 1954 to 1964. You will have a very difficult time finding a first year production lens in as good as shape as this one. Below is what I can tell you about this lens.

Aperture blades dry and smooth operation. Aperture clicks at each stop.

Focuses smoothly throughout the entire range. A little stiff, could use new helicoid grease. One tiny dent on front near end of serial number (see photo). No paint loss from the markings. 39mm filter thread is in great shape. Lens elements look scratch free. Haze inside but no fungus (see photos). Smooth extension and locking (Rigid and no rocking). No scratches on barrel (there are slight normal wear marks).
