The glass looks very nice & clean upon first inspection, with just some slight internal dust. But, a close inspection with a flashlight shows what may be the bery beginning stages of a light haze or fungus. We are not sure - but right now, it does not seem to effect the images. This lens is great for anyone with a Leica R system camera; ideal for macro work, portraits, and shallow depth of field shots.
