One of the sharpest lenses ever made by Leica, the 135mm f4 is both light and tack sharp. Available largely in "M" bayonet mount, this lens is in the very rare Leica Screw Mount. The lens is in absolute pristine mint condition. There are no marks on the body or lens elements, and there is no haze, lint, or foreign matter in the lens.
It will come with mint original Leica front and rear lens caps for both protection and show. The focus and aperture are silky smooth. This lens carries the serial number #1902847 and was manufactured in 1961. You won't find a finer 135mm f4 Elmar in either "M" or Screw Mounts. It can be used on an M model Leica by using a screw to M adapter ring.
The lens head can be unscrewed and installed on a Visoflex housing and used like an SLR. This is a lens for the Leica perfectionist. A great addition to a IIIF or IIIG Leica camera, or an early Leica M3 Double or Single Stroke camera outfit.
