Leica Leitz 5cm (50mm) f3.5 Elmar'Red Scale' Sn. 1086388 (1952) Lens - Chrome. Collectible'Red Scale' Elmar in fair condition. Item has signs of wear which are visible upon inspection.

Tested on film and digital producing excellent results. No lens cap or rear cap included.

Optically the lens is average. The front group has light coating marks, and the usual haze'ring' on the backside of the front element.

Image quality remains high and very good. Contrast excellent and sharpness is insane. The lens does flare when the sun is on the frame so I would recommend a hood. Mechanically perfect with no issues. The front name plate is a bit warped, but otherwise fine.
