LEICA LEITZ WETZLAR ELMAR-M 1:2.8/50MM ELMOM 11112 CHROME 1959 M2 3 4 6 7 M9 M10. N a nice and pretty clean condition for its age, this is a vintage 1959 production Leica Leitz Wetzlar 50mm f/2.8 lens, Leica code ELMOM/11112, made in Germany. The lens is supplied with its original front metal cap and plastic rear cap. Cosmetically the lens shows some slight age related wear, please see images, yet it still retains a very nice and very good overall look.

Optically glass is very clean, showing no scratches, no cleaning marks, no haze, no fungus or any other issues. The amount of dust present in the lens inner element is so little that verges on the insignificant. Blades only show some normal age related wear. Please note that this is a collapsible designed lens and in order to be used it needs to be extended and locked into place by turning it towards the left.

This lens can be used with no restriction on all Leica M film and digital cameras, and through the relevant adapter (NOT included in this sale) it can also be used on the Leica SL Typ-601, SL2 and L-mount mirrorless digital cameras and a plethora of other systems including Fuji, Sony, Olympus etc. Performance wise, this is still for today standards an impressive little lens.
