Leitz Elmar 5cm f3.5 LTM Lens + Genuine Elmar Hood + Caps + Case (3.5 f/3.5). A 1952 Leitz Elmar 5cm F3.5 LTM Lens in good general condition Optics have some marks to the front element, but are clear and bright with no haze or fungus, just a little dust. It doesn't look like it has been opened up and butchered like many you will see. Body is in nice condition with signs of use but no major wear and tear or brassing - focus and aperture smooth. I tested it out of interest on my Sony A7RII 42mpixel to see what it was like - see 100% crops with no post processing at f3.5 and f5.6 and it is really very good for an almost 75 year old lens and shows the Leica quality - many people prefer the slower Elmar to some of the faster Leica lenses from the same period because of its. It is supplied with aftermarket front cap (a very good copy of the original) and aftermarket metal rear lens cap. Genuine Elmar hood in very nice condition, with no major marks or brassing some.
On their own Comes nice vintage leather and blue velvet lined lens case, that looks like it was made for it.... Please note that this has the Leica L39 mount and won't work satisfactorily with DSLR camera. It should however work with most mirrorless cameras if there is a L39 adaptor available for your camera (it won't work with DSLR cameras that have a mirror that flips because the lens cannot be mounted without affecting a mirror).
