Kann mit optionalem Adapterring auch an allen M-Leica bis zu den digitalen Leica M8, M, Typ 240 und M10-P verwendet werden. Natürlich per Adapter auch mit anderen modernen Digitalkameras zu verwenden. Die Abbildungsleistung eines Elmar 5cm ist auch heute noch erstaunlich hoch.

Zustand: 63 Jahre alt und äußerlich sehr schön erhalten. Voll funktional, die Linsen sind im Durchblick normal klar. Wie bei praktisch allen alten Optiken ist mit Gegenlicht innen etwas Staub und feiner Belag, teils in kleinen Pünktchen zu sehen - was sich aber nicht auf dem fertigen Foto abbildet, siehe aktuelles Beispielfoto an Leica-M10 mit Blende 2.8. Blenden- und Entfernungseinstellung gehen gut und die Rastung bei unendlich funktioniert.
