Leitz (Leica) Focomat 1 + 50mm Elmar enlarger lens & Anti-Newton Rings Condensor. Average condition, out of years of storage and now cleaned, built c. Shows external corrosion to plated parts and paintwork. This is a fully working Leitz enlarger for 35mm printing, it has been competently rewired underneath. It uses a condenser lighting system, the condenser base holds the negative flat and this example has an'Anti-Newton Rings' finish, something which is normally an expensive extra for Focomat enlargers. The lens is the classic Elmar: 50mm f/3.5 and is not in perfect optical condition, this could ideally do with internal cleaning as there are signs of fungus though UV treatment has been conducted (that should halt any further growth) The serial number of the lens suggests this was supplied in 1950. Includes the red filter underneath the lens. The original on/off switch has been removed.
